Jeb’s Certifications Include:

Founded in 2012, the U.S. Kids Golf Coaches Institute conducts dozens of training programs each year designed to introduce coaches to the best practices, data-driven research and most effective resources that can help young players learn and improve at golf. Coaches who participate in these seminars are then tested on various aspects of the education, with those passing earning the designation of a U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach. A Certified Coach Level 1 has completed and passed the first training course. A Certified Coach Level 2 has undergone further training and testing and have a greater understanding of many important player development principles including the motivating factors for differing personality types. Jeb is currently Certified Coach Level 1.

Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1 Certification teaches golf, fitness and medical professionals how to evaluate a golfer for physical limitations which can inhibit swing efficiency, durability and, ultimately, enjoyment of the game. Students learn to quickly evaluate a player’s physical capabilities using the TPI Level 1 screen and to understand how the results of that assessment are correlated with the technical elements in the player’s swing. This helps a coach, trainer, or medical therapist to quickly identify the key area that can be holding a golfer back from playing their best. We call this the Body-Swing Connection.

Teaching Aids

Jeb uses Flight Scope Mevo+ during lessons to provide analytical insight for each shot and club. The FlightScope Mevo+ is a launch monitor and simulator that uses patented FlightScope Fusion Tracking technology to provide golfers with accurate golf performance data. Fusion Tracking technology is an innovative combination of 3D Doppler tracking radar technology and synchronized high speed image processing that helps provide users with the most accurate and consistent data for every shot – indoors and outdoors. Students will see the results from swing changes using Mevo+ as it provides over 20 full swing and short game data parameters for ultimate game improvement.

Another tool Jeb uses to analyze his students golf swings is the V1 Pressure Mat. The V1 Pressure Mat provides a real time analysis of Center of Pressure, Dynamic Vertical Force and Center of Pressure Velocity during the golf swing. The center-of-pressure (CoP) analysis shows the CoP location and movement trace, and percent distribution lead to trail foot, and heel to toe. The dynamic vertical force analysis measures the change in the amount of ground reaction force throughout the golf swing. CoP velocity is the rate or speed of movement of the center-of-pressure during the golf swing.  The V1 Pressure Mat provides important analytical information to improve your swing from the ground up!
